ODMAP - Data-Driven Approaches to Crisis Response

Course Description: This course provides a basic understanding of the Overdose Detection Mapping Application Program (ODMAP) and its capabilities. It provides an overview of ODMAP and how it can be utilized by both public safety and public health entities to accomplish their missions. It also reviews requirements for overdose reporting in the state of Oklahoma and details upcoming changes to these reporting requirements.

 Learning Objectives:

  • Understand generally what ODMAP is and its applicability to public safety, public health, and first responders

  • Understand the requirements for overdose reporting, OBN’s role in obtaining overdose data, and upcoming changes to overdose reporting

  • Understand how to request agency access and individual access to ODMAP

Hannah Jacobs

Prescription Monitoring Program training specialist at the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics

Hannah Jacobs is the Prescription Monitoring Program training specialist at the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics. As such, she primarily teaches those in the medical field and public health realm about the program, its capabilities, and relevant compliance requirements. She additionally creates all necessary training guides and materials for PMP education. She also teaches about the Overdose Detection Mapping Application Program (ODMAP) to OBN Registrants and first responders. She celebrated her first year at the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics this past January. She graduated from Oklahoma City University in the spring of 2023 with a bachelor’s in political science, and she is currently on track to complete her master’s in public administration in the spring of 2026. She became interested in drug enforcement and substance abuse prevention after witnessing her mother’s work as a medical provider treating patients with opioid use disorder.
