DAY 1. FIRST RESPONDER SPEAKERS
Face Addiction Now: Fighting Addiction by Bridging the Gaps and Practicing Deflection/Diversion
FAN has become instrumental in changing and saving the lives of individuals and families affected by substance use disorder across the state of Michigan. Our extensive partnerships are also helping reduce the stigma surrounding addiction, changing the way law enforcement views the disease and improving the perception people who are struggling with SUD have of law enforcement. By sharing our experiences and lessons learned, we aim to inspire other communities to adopt similar approaches, ultimately leading to better outcomes for individuals and society as a whole.
